I had a list 5 miles long... Everything stopped when my husband got sick about 3 weeks ago.... I mean stopped. Things have settled down a bit still a few unanswered questions but we are looking for good news all around. I have just not been up to posting... I still struggle with my blog being my place to journal and write about my journey. AND how personal do I really want to get.
I have been so busy in my studio.... I now know I work when I am stressed.... I just put my head down and put my hands to work.
I will say that I have been working on a new website and was hoping to have it up and running by now but my brain could just not do anything too taxing the last few weeks... My hands were busy my brain was on auto pilot. I am excited about the new look... Should be up and running in a few days. I have been making patterns for dolls and little purses and knitted things .... For the shop and a few free patterns to celebrate the new look! Keep checking back... I promise It will be up soon.
So, something fun that did take place in our lives in the past week was little P's birthday. We had the family party at the house.... I will just share a few photos and then I am off to REALLY go work on the new website.
This idea came from this little book I picked up the last trip to the fabric store.... I adore this book. Packed with tons of darling things!
I stitched up the heart streamers.....
Papa was in charge of the kitchen decoration.... I am thinking .. Parties by Michael!
Her request... Chocolate cake with strawberry frosting... I did my best!
Loved the little banners!!! Really easy to make.
Oh, she wanted pink m&m's.
Little P looks just like her mama.
Little P had a perfect party... We all enjoyed watching her drink up all the celebration! At one point when the party had wound down and the Little's were on the nest watching a movie. She crawled up on my lap and told me she was so sad.... I ask her "why sweet baby"?... She looked up at me with those big blue eyes and said that she was "getting older"....
Pretty sure that came from her mama... Always sad to have your baby grow up so quickly.
I have learned a great deal in the last few weeks...
I could not go on with out my family and sweet supportive friends. I feel blessed beyond believe by the love and support I have experienced in the past few weeks.
I'm hugging you all right now.
celebrate the small things today, they usually are the sweetest things in life.
