This is what I do

I have family... vacation... knitting... stitching... gardening.... cooking... new ideas....Brave girl club... All- I want to journal about.
If for nothing else than to keep a journal.....Just for me.
Days and WEEKS pile up without writing anything..... I just have way too many things to write about so I stay far away from my blog. It doesn't help that I still have not gotten the hang of this new squarespace format.
So today I will just start with one thing....
I have been thinking about this garden idea for a few weeks. I first saw this while working as a gardener with a sweet garden company Sisters. That gardening experience gave me this idea. To put a wire grid on my fence and cover it with a fast growing vine.We have this very unattractive driveway, and fence. To be honest the grass (dead grass strip). Is where Jump does his business... Hard to grow anything there.
I have this great little patio that I call my coffee patio. In the morning or early evening that little patio has lovely shade and the hedge framing this little space is full of twinkle lights... Also the huge china berry tree on the grass strip we were talking about is full of lights. The one draw back to enjoying my little coffee space is the view of the ugly patch of grass. Also the not so nice fence.
It was a big job but I had been dreaming about doing this for a bit and decided to just to get started. It will take a bit of time for the star jasmine to grow in but when it does.... I think it will be beautiful.
So blessed to have a husband to go along with all of my crazy ideas!
Did you notice the little fountain we hung from the tree? And now ..... We even have that lovely sound of the the fountain. I am finding it hard to spend time on my napping porch with this newly beautified coffee patio. Maybe I will start calling it my dreamy patio....
Is there a little something you have been thinking about.... Maybe a big something?
Take one step towards that something today.... Start today!

I feel the same way about blogging too. I have so many things I want to write about, and somehow that prevents me from even starting. Love your sweet space here Patrice. Thanks for sharing your beautiful life!
Can't believe I missed this post when you posted it! But this fence idea looks EXACTLY like what I need on my west side to pretty up the view from my bedroom and home office. And maybe I'll somehow extend it upward for a litte more privacy from next door. And I can't use star jasmine because I'm so allergic to it but I'm sure I can find something... So thanks for the inspiration! Not sure when I'll get to it, but... one of these days...
